We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Pharmacy Assistant
Job Locations: Lagos (Ojodu Berger, Egbeda, Iddo), & Ibadan - Bodija, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Worktype: Shift base (one day on one day off)

Job Summary

• The Pharmacy Assistant supports the pharmacist in ensuring smooth daily operations of the retail pharmacy.
• This includes customer service, dispensing support, inventory control, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• The role requires professionalism, accuracy, and adherence to PCN guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:

• Attend to customers politely and professionally.
• Provide basic guidance on OTC products (non-clinical).
• Refer customers to the pharmacist for all medical or prescription-related inquiries.
• Assist with product inquiries and promote pharmacy products when appropriate.

Dispensing Support:

• Receive and sort prescriptions for the pharmacist’s review.
• Prepare, package, and label medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Maintain accurate patient information and ensure confidentiality.

Inventory & Stock Management:

• Stock and arrange shelves following FEFO (First Expiry, First Out).
• Monitor stock levels and immediately report low or expired items.
• Assist in receiving, checking, and recording incoming supplies.
• Ensure proper storage of drugs in line with regulatory requirements.

Sales & Cashiering:

• Process sales using POS systems.
• Handle cash and electronic payments accurately.
• Issue receipts and maintain proper sales documentation.

Compliance & Store Maintenance:

• Follow all pharmacy SOPs and PCN guidelines.
• Ensure proper hygiene and cleanliness of the dispensary and store area.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical conduct at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum OND.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
