Human Capital Partners (HCP) - Our client, the Lagos Water Corporation (LWC), a Lagos State Government agency, is the primary provider of potable and safe water to over 18 million residents of Lagos State, Nigeria. Established in 1910 with the construction of the Iju Waterworks, the Corporation has expanded its operations to meet the increasing demand for clean water. Currently, LWC’s total installed water production capacity stands at 210 million gallons per day (MGD), which is below the required demand. In response, LWC has developed the Lagos Water Supply Master Plan, targeting an increase in production capacity to 745 MGD.

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Project Management Officer to oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of water infrastructure projects. 
  • The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. 
  • This role is critical to achieving the Corporation’s goal of expanding and improving water supply services across Lagos State.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in water infrastructure or utility projects.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of water sector dynamics and regulatory requirements is an added advantage.
  • Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
