Project Engineer (Structure)

We are hiring a Project Engineer (Structures) who will oversee our construction projects from planning to completion. The ideal candidate must be COREN-registered, with at least 7 years’ experience in building construction, strong site supervision skills, and proven expertise in project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Design: Develop detailed construction plans, review technical drawings, and ensure designs are feasible, efficient, and compliant with standards.

  • Site Supervision: Oversee day-to-day site operations, manage construction crews and subcontractors, and ensure all work aligns with approved plans and specifications.


  • Technical Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges during construction, providing effective solutions and professional guidance.

  • Quality Assurance and Control: Enforce high standards of materials and workmanship, conduct site inspections, and implement quality control measures.

  • Safety Management: Promote a culture of safety by enforcing HSE regulations, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring a safe working environment.

  • Budget and Schedule Management: Monitor project progress, optimize resource allocation, and ensure delivery within budget and timeline constraints.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, architects, and consultants, fostering collaboration and teamwork.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports, document changes or challenges, and maintain accurate project records.

  • Resource Management: Oversee procurement, allocation, and management of materials, equipment, and other resources to ensure efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (Structures).

  • Minimum of 7 years’ proven experience in building construction.

  • Must be registered with COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria).

  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, site supervision, and construction oversight.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and safety regulations.

  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

  • The Ideal Candidate must reside on Lagos Island or close to the Island.?
