Job Position: Project Manager

Job Location: Ajah, Lagos

Job Summary


  • An experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects, specifically midrise and high-rise buildings. 
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a reputable construction company and demonstrate the ability to manage timelines, contractors, materials, and budgets effectively.
  • This position requires a high degree of competence, ownership, and leadership in the field.

Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones
  • Define scope, deliverables, and resource needs
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations and project execution

Budget & Cost Management:

  • Monitor project budgets and control expenditures
  • Track and approve payments, invoices, and material procurement
  • Ensure cost-efficiency while maintaining quality standards

Team & Contractor Coordination:

  • Supervise site engineers, foremen, and labor teams
  • Coordinate activities of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Conduct regular site meetings to ensure alignment and progress

Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure construction meets architectural and structural specifications
  • Conduct site inspections to maintain quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, safety codes, and company policies

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies
  • Provide regular updates and detailed progress reports
  • Address issues or delays proactively and professionally

Risk & Issue Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Resolve on-site challenges and prevent project delays
  • Enforce HSE standards and ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager or Site Manager in a structured construction company
  • Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management, or related field
  • Must have worked on at least one mid-rise or high-rise building project
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and construction software
  • Membership in a recognized professional body (e.g., COREN, NSE, or NIQS) is an advantage

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on, practical approach to site management
  • Ability to multitask and deliver under pressure
  • Strong knowledge of HSE protocols and construction regulations.
