Voltaire Lifestyle Services Limited are the owners of GAIA AFRICA Club and Gaby Lagos, luzury brands, situated in Victoria Island in Lagos State. It is a hospitality Company with a luxury restaurant, a private business club house and event management.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Receptionist (Front Desk Officer)
Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Description
- The restaurant receptionist is responsible for providing friendly, welcoming, and efficient service to all guests,inline with GAIA AFRICA’s vision and values on customer satisfaction.
- The main purposes of the restaurant reception area’s staff are to respond courteously to guests’requests, play a part in the general running of the reception desk, and help the General Manager to maintain a smooth booking service.
Responsibilities
- To undertake front-of-house duties, including meeting, greeting, and attending to the needs of guests,to ensure a superb customer service experience.
- To build a good rapport with all guests and resolve any complaints/issues quickly to maintain high-quality customer service.
- Collaborate with other restaurant staff and management to ensure that customer complaints are properly attended to. inaneffective, courteous, and timely manner.
- Assisting with customer complaints, providing or seeking solutions as quickly as possible.
- To be responsible for accurate and efficient accounts and guest billing processes.
- To ensure that all reservations and cancellations are processed efficiently.
- To keep up to date with function room prices and special offers to provide accurate information to guests.
- To undertake al training as required (e.g., first aid, health, and safety, customer service).
- To assist in always keeping the reception clean and tidy.
- To undertake general office duties, including correspondence, emails, filing, and switchboard,to ensure the smooth running of the reception area.
- To administer all routes of reservations to ensure that table bookings are made and recorded accurately.
- To adhere to all fire safety test procedures and to assist in the evacuation process in the event of afire.
- To undertake any other ad-hoc duties (bar and restaurant work) relevant to the post, as and when required.
Skills and Experience Required
- A friendly and welcoming approach.
- High standards of dressing and presentation
- Ability to remain calm during difficult situations or in a very busy environment
- The ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including pleasant and excellent telephone etiquette.
- Good administrative skills and the ability to use email booking systems.
- Good team workingskills.
- Skills and Experience (Desirable).
- Previous customer service experience.
- Previous experience in hospitality.
- Previous experience in Health & Safety, FirstAid, etc.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Multitasking ability.
- Possess retentive memory to remember bookings.
- Ability to pay attention to details.
- Ability to maintain orderliness.
