We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Resident Branch Auditor
Job Location: Mowe, Ogun

Responsibilities

  • Ensure branch staff complies with the Internal Code of Conduct, Policy/Procedure and Regulations on transactions initiated by the bank.
  • Ensure that all expected activities stipulated in the control checklists are performed by the branch management
  • Ensure prompt resolution of all recommendations in the Internal Audit Report, Regulatory Examiners Report and other Statutory Examiners Report involving the branch
  • Conduct spot checks, stock taking and other functions as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Analysing documentation, such as account opening forms and financial records to determine if fraud occurred.
  • Supervise transactions of branches to identify and investigate fraudulent activities.
  • Ensure daily Call Over of all tills transactions (which include but not limited to deposit/withdrawal slips, Cheque slips, Internal fund transfers) within approved timelines
  • Daily Review of Exception Reports to ensure that appropriate approvals were obtained for it and that they are valid transactions
  • Conduct Special Investigation as may be directed by the Supervisor
  • Investigate any suspicious activity and report to the Head of Internal Audit & Compliance immediately.
  • Ensure prompt and qualitative rendition of relevant returns and reports as may be required by your Supervisor
  • Any other job that may be assigned by your Supervisor.

Educational Qualification and Work Experience

  • First degree from a reputable university in Accounting, Finance or any related field
  • Candidate should possess 3-5 years of experience in Auditing within the Banking sector
  • Candidate should have ACA/ACCA/CFA
