Job Description

• As a Safety Officer, you will work with the team to identify potential risks in the work environment and develop effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying workplace hazards and assessing risks to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Conducting safety training sessions to raise awareness and ensure understanding of safety practices among employees.
• Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures that comply with local laws and regulations.
• Performing regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify areas for improvement. Investigating accidents and incidents to determine causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Creating and maintaining emergency response plans, conducting drills to prepare employees for emergencies.
• Keeping detailed records of safety-related activities and compliance audits, reporting findings to management.
• Collaborating with management and employees to promote a safety-first culture within the organization.

Requirements

• Fresh graduate with a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) in any discipline
• Willingness to learn and understand local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for conveying safety information and conducting training
• Ability to analyze data and incidents to inform safety improvements
• Strong critical thinking skills for identifying safety issues and developing solutions
• Detail-oriented in inspections, documentation, and compliance checks.
