Job Position: Senior Product Designer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• Ideal candidate will take a lead in shaping the design and user experience of our product expressions across various industries, businesses and ecosystems.
• You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers, to create intuitive, user-centered designs that meet both user needs and business objectives.

Job Responsibilities
Design Leadership:

• Lead the end-to-end design process, from conceptualization to final implementation.
• Advocate for design excellence and best practices across the organization.
• Mentor junior designers and provide guidance to elevate the overall design quality.

User-Centered Design:

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitor analysis to inform design decisions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups that align with user needs and business goals.
• Collaborate with UX researchers to gather insights and iterate on designs based on feedback.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with product managers to define product vision, strategy, and requirements.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure seamless handoff and implementation of designs.
• Communicate design rationale and present design solutions to stakeholders, including executives.

Innovation & Problem-Solving:

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design tools.
• Propose innovative solutions to complex design challenges, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
• Ensure that designs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also technically feasible and aligned with Interswitch’s business objectives.

Product Strategy & Vision:

• Contribute to the development of product strategies and roadmaps.
• Align design goals with the overall business strategy, ensuring that each product enhances Interswitch’s competitive edge.
• Provide input on prioritization and product features based on design insights and user needs

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your design process and results.
• A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, and experience conducting user research.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience leading design projects from conception to launch, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in designing for both B2B and B2C products.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with design systems and maintaining consistency across large-scale products.
