Role Overview
- We are looking for a dynamic and technically proficient Senior Sales Executive with a biomedical or pharmaceutical background to join our sales team in Nigeria.
- The Senior Sales Account Executive will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, managing high-value accounts, and supporting the sales team in achieving its objectives.
- This role requires a blend of sales expertise, technical know-how, and a biomedical or pharmaceutical background to truly understand and convey the value of our solution.
- In this role, you will be required to have a proactive and strategic approach to leads generations managing client relationships, and contributing to the company’s overall growth objectives.
Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Drive new account acquisition and close high-value deals with retail pharmacies.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets, including metrics such as reorder rate, close rate, and revenue growth.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Monitor customer payment cycles (e.g., Sell-or-Return agreements) to ensure timely invoice clearance.
Account Management and Customer Retention
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring a customer retention rate of at least 90%.
- Proactively identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to grow account value.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to support onboarding and drive in-store sales success for pharmacies.
Product Knowledge Transfer:
- Understand and effectively communicate the features and benefits of our holistic health monitoring software and hardware solutions to pharmacists and healthcare providers.
- Provide training and demonstrations to ensure customers can seamlessly integrate the solution into their practice.
- Serve as the technical liaison between customers and our product team, relaying feedback and helping resolve any issues.
Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
- Work closely with the product, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on product updates, promotions, and client feedback.
- Collaborate with technical teams to address complex queries and provide high-level technical support when needed.
Data and Strategy Utilization:
- Use CRM data to monitor sales pipeline health, identify bottlenecks, and adjust strategies.
- Develop and refine forecasts to improve accuracy and align with company growth objectives.
- Report on critical sales metrics (e.g., win rate, reorder rate, growth trends) and recommend actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Stay up to date on healthcare trends, particularly within the Nigerian market, to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Provide feedback on market trends and customer needs to inform product development and sales strategy.
Qualifications
- A background in healthcare, pharmacy, biomedical science, or related fields is required.
- 3+ years of experience in B2B sales or account management, particularly in the health tech, pharmaceutical, or medical device industries.
- Experience with CRM systems like HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar tools.
- Technical proficiency and the ability to understand and explain both software and hardware products.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients, particularly pharmacists.
- Ability to use presentation tools such as PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides and document tools such as MS Word and Google Docs. Excel skill is a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to transfer knowledge and conduct training sessions.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Self-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel within Nigeria to meet clients and prospects as needed.
- Sales experience involving MedTech organizations with proven solution sales management experience.
- Proven track record in executing end-to-end deals
- Proven ability to build and maintain trusted partnerships with clients.
