Job Position: Shift In-Charge - Operations (Beneficiation Plant)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a proactive and experienced Shift In-Charge – Operations to oversee and manage shift operations in our beneficiation plant located in Kaduna.
• The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of mineral processing and plant operations, with a focus on maintaining production targets, operational safety, and equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the beneficiation plant during assigned shifts.
• Ensure smooth running of crushing, screening, grinding, magnetic separation, and flotation units.
• Monitor process parameters and make adjustments to ensure optimal output and quality.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for prompt resolution of equipment breakdowns.
• Assist in training and skill development of junior operators.
• Lead the shift crew and ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Maintain accurate shift logs, production data, and incident reports.
• Conduct regular inspections of plant areas and equipment.
• Communicate shift performance and issues to the next shift and senior management.

Requirements

• B.Sc. / HND in Metallurgical, Mineral Processing, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–6 years of hands-on experience in beneficiation plant operations.
• Solid understanding of mineral processing techniques and plant equipment.
• Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and team coordination skills.
• Good knowledge of workplace safety procedures and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in report writing and use of Microsoft Office tools.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends.
