Job Position: Social Media Manager - Assistant (Volunteer)

Job Description
- This role is designed for individuals who can blend creativity with strategy, understand social algorithms, manage data-driven schedules, and maintain real-time responsiveness across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-manage daily operations of PBHI’s social media platforms (Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- Build and maintain platform-specific content calendars aligned with our editorial vision
- Analyse engagement metrics weekly and propose actionable insights
- Support execution of global campaigns and awareness days
- Maintain brand consistency in captions, tone, visuals, and responses
- Engage actively with followers, partner platforms, and collaborators
- Innovate automation and scheduling systems using tools like Buffer, Notion, Metricool, etc.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of professional, volunteer, or academic experience related to public health or digital engagement
- Demonstrated experience managing public-facing accounts for a health, development, or advocacy brand
- Ability to interpret analytics and translate numbers into strategy
- High responsiveness and commitment to daily time blocks
- Fluency in visual storytelling and platform algorithms
- Proficiency with tools like Meta Suite, Canva, Notion, and Buffer
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); multilingual abilities are a plus
- Willingness to adhere to PBHI’s volunteer performance framework, code of conduct, and weekly task expectations
- Consistent access to a personal computer and reliable internet
- Proven ability to work independently in a structured, remote, and cross-cultural team.
