Responsibilities & Accountabilities


Stock audit services are required to ensure right stating and overview of the company’s inventory at various stores and supply base warehouse. The provision of this service will involve work at the onshore and offshore warehouses and contractor staff travelling to onshore and offshore store locations as required. Other responsibilities include:

• Participate in the physical counting and stock reconciliation at onshore and offshore

storage locations,

• Investigate overages and shortages after each stock count.

• Prepare Information Request (IR) sheet and follow up with warehouse custodians to

sign-off.

• Create logistics requests for stock auditors visit to onshore and offshore locations and

secure appropriate approvals.

• Identify and analyze discrepancies between recorded and actual inventory levels,

enabling management to understand variances and take corrective actions.

• Review stock audit processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or risks like pilferage.

• Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, providing peace of

mind that inventory handling is up to code.

• Scrutinize internal controls over inventory management to reinforce security and

accuracy in stock handling and record-keeping.

• Provide insights into the correct valuation of stock, supporting accurate financial

reporting and decision-making.

• Furnish a detailed report with findings and actionable insights after every stock count to

help the businesses optimize their inventory processes.

• Participate in joint counts with NUIMS and JV partners.

• Material identification, periodic verification, reporting and documentations etc. of

company materials in various onshore and offshore storage locations.

• Execute annual stock audit in all company warehouse/store according to approved 2

year rolling stock audit plan.

• Weekly reconciliation for GR and GI documentation and sign-off by stock audit

supervisor on a weekly basis.

• Manage SharePoint site repository for all stock audit documentation.

• Reconciliation of shortages and overages created by stock in transit.

• Facilitate reconciliation and close out of all stock in transit per storage location.

• Attend to internal and external SOX auditors (e.g., GRA, E&Y) according to Annual

schedule and as required.

• Two contractor staff will be required for this activity.

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in any discipline.

 

Experience

  • Ability to work Offshore (valid TBOSIET is mandatory for contract duration) NUPRC
  • OSP certification is an advantage
  • Physical fitness (valid fitness to work certificate)
  • Experience in inventory audit and management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office especially MS Excel
  • Strong SAP skills in Material Master and Business Warehouse modules
  • Strong listening skills, respect, and values opinions of others.
