Job Position: Tax Officer

Job Summary


  • The Tax Officer will be responsible for managing the organization’s tax compliance, planning, reporting, and advisory functions.
  • The role requires strong technical tax knowledge, hands-on experience with statutory filings, and the ability to manage tax matters across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory tax obligations including CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other relevant taxes.
  • Prepare and review tax computations, filings, and returns in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and manage tax audits, assessments, and correspondence.
  • Support tax planning initiatives to optimize tax efficiency while ensuring compliance.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the business.
  • Provide tax advisory support to business units across the group.
  • Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
  • Support management with tax reports and insights for decision-making.

Key Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess B.Sc / HND in any relevant field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar tax role.
  • Experience working in a large organization or group structure is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in any of the Big 4 accounting firms is a strong advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CITN) will be an added advantage.

Salary
N500,000 - N600,000 / month.
