Warehouse Officer Job at Associates Consulting Limited
Associates Consulting Limited - Our client is a fast-growing indigenous upstream, mid-stream and downstream oil and gas group with interests in oil and gas exploration and production, gas processing, petrochemical / fertilizer production and power.
They are currently expanding with some pipeline projects around the country, and are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Warehouse Officer
Job Location: Delta
Employment Type: Full Time
Reports To: Construction Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor day to day operations of chemical materials in warehouse.
- Work with Finance team on monthly physical stock check and variance analysis report.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Taking records of general stock.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical checking and counts, reconciling with data storage system.
- Manage the receipt of raw materials and packing materials; Goods Received Note.
- Manage inventory and ensure safe storage of all chemical materials without expiry or damage.
- Ensure FIFO (FIRST IN FIRST OUT) inventory management system is followed to achieve no expiry of raw materials and packaging materials.
- Maintain and manage inventories accurately.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures, protocols and other work-related policies.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders and invoices.
- Organize and arrange products within the warehouse to optimize space and facilitate easy retrieval.
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfill orders and ensure timely dispatch.
- Supervise the loading and unloading of trucks and ensure safe handling of products.
- Supervise the receiving, monitoring and maintaining of stock in the warehouse to ensure sufficient stocks are available at any given time to meet the requirements as per the company guidelines.
- Supervise the use and daily update of all inventory related items on the EPICORE software, Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.
- Implement and enforce proper warehouse safety protocols.
- Continuously improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse operations to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Years of experience in warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of repair and maintenance of plant-heavy equipment.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good teaming skills.
- Baseline problem analysis and solving skills.
- Creativity and an ability to think out of the box.
- Proficiency in the use of office productivity tools.
