We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Mechanical Engineer Graduate Trainee

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Field Operations Support:


  • Assist in rig-up and rig-down of surface well test equipment (separators, choke manifolds, heaters, tanks, transfer pumps, etc.).
  • Learn to operate equipment under supervision during well flow, clean-up, and testing phases.
  • Help monitor well parameters such as flow rate, pressure, temperature, and fluid levels.
  • Support sampling of oil, gas, and water during testing operations.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow all HSE policies, PPE requirements, and site-specific safety procedures.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety drills.
  • Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues immediately.

Equipment Handling & Maintenance:

  • Assist with cleaning, pressure testing, and basic maintenance of testing equipment.
  • Learn proper use of gauges, valves, hoses, and instrumentation.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are stored correctly and kept in good working order.

Data & Documentation:

  • Help record operational data, pressure readings, and observations during testing.
  • Support preparation of job reports and equipment checklists.
  • Maintain accurate and legible documentation.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Senior Operators, Supervisors, and other service crews.
  • Ask questions and apply guidance as part of structured on-the-job training.

Qualifications
Education:

  • High School Diploma or technical certificate (mechanical, oil & gas, or related field preferred).

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in remote or harsh environments.
  • Good communication skills and strong safety awareness.
  • Physically fit and able to lift equipment and work long shifts.
