ABC Cargo Express, a subsidiary of ABC Transport - Parcel - E-commerce - Intercity and intracity deliveries is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Workshop Manager

Job Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Managing the maintenance and reliability of the machinery and infrastructure.
• Develop, design and maintain procedures for the workshop.
• Negotiating with suppliers and parts department.
• Indirect management of mechanics.
• Implementation of the Preventive Maintenance program and record keeping of same.
• Supervision and Maintenance of workshop equipment and van.
• Engine, Gearbox and Axle oil services.
• Periodic Scheduled preventive services.
• Greasing of all Vehicles aggregates.
• Lubrication and protection of wheel - hubs.
• Any other duty assigned.

Requirements

• B.Eng (Mechanical Engineering) with a minimum of 3 years experience.
• Responsible for maintaining external supplier relationships.
• Previous management experience.
• Implementing safe working practices and security within the department;
• Ensuring the service and repair and workshop staffs achieve their daily targets.
• Good communication skills.
• Responsible for the daily control of the workshop to maintain a high level of productivity, quality and “right first time” repairs.
