Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) is one of the largest oil producers in Nigeria and one of its largest investors. In Nigeria, we operate under a joint-venture arrangement with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for the onshore and offshore assets in the Niger Delta region.
Chevron also has extensive interests in multipartner deepwater operations. We operate the Agbami Field, one of Nigeria’s largest deepwater discoveries. We also have a nonoperated interest in the Usan Field.

- Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) in collaboration with its Joint Venture (JV) partner, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), is offering a number of University Scholarship Awards to suitably qualified Nigerian students from all States of the Federation.
- The scholarship program is a major component of our strategic social investment in the development of education in Nigeria.
Categories
Full-time Second Year (200 Level) students:
- Full-time Second Year (200 Level) students enrolled in any accredited Nigerian University studying any of the underlisted courses:
- Accountancy
- Agricultural Science Architecture
- Business Administration / Economics
- Computer Science
- Environmental Studies / Surveying Geology / Geophysics / Geo Informatics
- Law
- Mass Communication/Journalism
- Engineering Dentistry
- Pharmacy Medicine / Surgery
- Eligibility Criteria - Applicants must:
- Have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 in a 5.0 grading system
- Have a minimum of six West African School Certificate (WASC) or equivalent O-level credits in one sitting.
Blind / Visually impaired Second Year (200 Level) students:
- Blind / Visually impaired Second Year (200 Level) students studying any course in any accredited Nigerian University.
- Eligibility Criteria - Applicants must:
- Have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 in a 5.0 grading system, and
- Have a minimum of five West African School Certificate (WASC) or equivalent O-level credits
Note
- Only successful candidates will be contacted.
- Only applications submitted through the specified web portal will be considered.
- There will be no computer-based test. Selection of successful candidates will be based on current academic performance, as specified.
- All interested students should submit accurate and complete information.
- Applicants for the NNPCL/CNL JV scholarship are ineligible to apply for any other scholarship program sponsored by Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL), its joint venture partner, NNPC Limited (NNPCL), or any other Chevron Corporation affiliates in Nigeria.
- Applicants and successful candidates are not required to make any payments whatsoever. Application for Chevron scholarship programs is free

- Any candidate found to have presented false documentation and/or information will be disqualified or withdrawn at any level of the scholarship process.
- Scholarships, once awarded under these terms, cannot be transferred to another university or course of study.
