We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Account Analyst
Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Budgeting, Cash Flow and Financial Management
- Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
- Advice on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.
- Maintain the financial health of the organization.
- Manage the preparation of the company’s budget with departments.
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
- Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
- Document Management - Ensure the filing system is up to date.
- Profit and Loss Reporting.
- Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
- Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
- Revenue Collation and Assurance follow up with Internal Control.
- Oversee Fixed Asset Management.
- Direct research and strategic planning efforts related to tax issues.
- Supervise the account team
- Perform other duties that will be assigned to you
Requirements
- B.Sc in Accounting / Economics
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
- ACCA/ICAN/ACA is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and Quick Books ERP
- Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used/followed.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Extensive understanding of financial trends, both within the company and general market patterns.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulation.
