B.Adedipe Associate Limited (“BAA Consult”, for short) was incorporated in February 1993, as General Management and Financial Consultants, and commenced operations in March 1994. The company has built on the professional experience of its Chief Consultant (Dr. ‘Biodun Adedipe) and his complementary relationships, and in the course of time it has developed a reputation for excellent delivery in all four of its business platforms – Strategy, Training, Human Capital Services and Research.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Account Officer

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Objective

• To ensure prompt and accurate accounting documentation and reporting that will support the firm’s strategic objectives.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage account payables and accounts receivable in order to ensure complete and accurate records of all transactions.
• Prepare financial reports and statutory accounts.
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported.
• Manage petty cash transactions.
• Ensure all payment amounts and records are accurate.
• Reconcile accounts with the general ledger.
• Check invoices for accuracy.
• Follow up on collection of receivable accounts.
• Carry out other assignments from the Executive Consultant.

Job Requirements

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting or related fields (minimum of 2:2 / Lower Credit)
• 3 - 5 years of work experience.
• Good knowledge of financial regulations, including taxation and government regulatory and reporting requirements.
• Good knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting principles, methods, techniques and standards.
• Practical knowledge of contemporary accounting software (Peachtree, or QuickBooks).
• Good team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and contemporary data management software.
• Aged not more than 28years.
