Job Position: Accountant

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilties

• Handling accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and vendor management.
• Managing cash transactions, including recording daily cash receipts and disbursements.
• Reconciling bank statements and ensuring accuracy in financial records.
• Assisting in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Analyzing accounting choices and making financial action recommendations.
• Gathering and monitoring financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities).
• Researching and examining accounting data, creating reports, and providing management with financial information.
• Assembling and evaluating account data to create asset, liability, and capital account entries.
• Inserting account details to record financial activities.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements).
• Forecasting costs and revenues.
• Managing tax payments.
• Organizing internal audits.
• Preparing budgets (for the entire company and by department).
• Monitoring and reporting on accounting discrepancies.
• Conducting detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor's / Master`s Degree with 2 - 5 years of work experience.
