We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Accounts Clerk

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update accounting records such as ledgers, journals, and invoices.
  • Prepare and post financial entries, including payments, receipts, and bank transactions.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate matching of bank statements with internal records.
  • Reporting and Documentation
  • Assist in budget preparation and track budget performance.
  • Monitor departmental spending against approved budgets.
  • Compliance and Taxation
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Compile and maintain financial documentation for audits and compliance.
  • Budget Monitoring
  • Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, VAT, WHT).
  • Support with tax filings and liaise with auditors or tax consultants as required.
  • Inventory and Asset Management
  • Track inventory records and asset registers, where applicable.
  • Support periodic inventory reconciliation and fixed asset audits.
  • Support the finance department with administrative tasks and clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • ICAN/ACCA in-view or qualified (added advantage).

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Experience in bank reconciliation, and basic financial report.
