Centric Gateway develops payment enterprise gateways for banks, businesses and other marketplace companies to better facilitate payment transactions using APIs to connect inter and intra-Africa borders with different payment methods ranging from cards, wallets and bank accounts. We Build, Connect and Bridge the payment gap in Africa.

We thrive on partnerships to increase our reach and growth in coverage by making our payment gateway connect to partners for funds pay-out/pay-in via different online platforms in Nigeria and other African countries.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Application Developer

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand clients' applications requirements
• Identify key application features
• Work with other IT professionals to set specifications for new applications
• Design creative prototypes based on specifications
• Write high-quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines
• Perform unit and integration testing before launch
• Troubleshoot applications
• Find bugs and offer timely solutions
• Test existing applications, identify deficiencies and offer solutions.

Requirements and Qualifications

• B.Sc / B.A in Computer Science or relevant field; M.Sc / M.A will be appreciated
• Certified application developer is a plus.
• At least 4 years of experience as an Application Developer or similar role
• 2 years of experience in designing and building applications
• Knowledge of programming language such as C#, Java (J2EE) etc.
• Great understanding of software design and programming principles
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
