Job Position: Assistant Human Resources Officer

Job Summary

  • We are seeking to hire Assistant HR who will support the HR department in various human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring, and employee counseling.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Assist in the recruitment process by preparing job descriptions, posting ads, and managing the hiring process.
  • Screen resumes and applications and coordinate interviews.
  • Conduct background checks and verify references.

Employee Onboarding and Offboarding:

  • Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials and conducting orientation sessions.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and filed appropriately.
  • Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews and necessary documentation.

Training and Development:

  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions for employees.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and programs.
  • Track and report on training progress and outcomes.

Performance Management:

  • Assist in the performance review process by gathering relevant data and preparing reports.
  • Support managers in the implementation of performance improvement plans.

Employee Relations:

  • Address employee queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of employee issues and conflicts.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

HR Administration:

  • Maintain employee records and ensure all HR databases are up-to-date.
  • Prepare and maintain HR-related reports and documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of compliance reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an HR role or related position.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
