The company is Nigeria's trusted name for supply of refined palm oil, palm kernel oil, olein, soybean Oil, stearin, soybean meal, soy lecithin, and palm kernel de-oiled cake. Our oils are used as healthy cooking medium. Soybean meal and palm kernel de-oiled cake are used in premier poultry / animal feed.
The company's products have been duly certified by the appropriate regulatory agencies Such as the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) and National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA). We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Assistant Manager - Palm Plantation

Description
- The Assistant Manager - Palm Plantation is responsible for supporting the overall management and operations of the plantation, ensuring optimal yield and efficiency while maintaining sustainable agricultural practices.
- This role involves supervising field activities, workforce management, implementing best agronomic practices, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management:
- Assist in planning and executing daily plantation activities, including land preparation, planting, fertilization, irrigation, and harvesting.
- Monitor crop growth, disease control, and pest management to maximize productivity.
- Ensure the timely procurement and proper utilization of agricultural inputs such as fertilizers, pesticides, and seedlings.
- Workforce Supervision & Training:
- Supervise field workers and ensure labor efficiency.
- Conduct training sessions for workers on best agricultural practices, safety procedures, and proper handling of equipment.
- Assist in managing labor allocation and resolving workforce-related issues.
- Quality & Productivity Enhancement:
- Implement agronomic best practices to improve yield and oil extraction rates.
- Monitor harvesting and processing standards to maintain product quality.
- Ensure proper record-keeping and data analysis for continuous improvement.
- Sustainability & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations, including RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) standards.
- Promote eco-friendly farming techniques and soil conservation practices.
- Monitor waste management and implement sustainable solutions.
- Logistics & Inventory Management:
- Oversee the transportation and storage of harvested palm fruits.
- Maintain stock levels of plantation supplies and equipment.
- Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of plantation machinery and infrastructure.
- Reporting & Coordination:
- Prepare regular reports on plantation activities, crop performance, and financial aspects.
- Coordinate with the Plantation Manager, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in budget planning and cost control measures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Plantation Management, Agronomy, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in palm plantation management or a similar agricultural role.
- Strong knowledge of palm cultivation, pest control, and harvesting techniques.
- Ability to manage and motivate a large workforce.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic data analysis.
- Familiarity with sustainable agriculture practices and regulatory requirements.
- Willingness to work in remote plantation locations with field exposure.
Salary
N400,000 - N500,000 Monthly.
