Job Position: Audit and Tax Officer

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Audit & Tax Officer will support audit and tax engagements by performing audit fieldwork, preparing tax computations, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• The role requires strong analytical skills and hands-on experience in audit and tax processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing audit assignments
• Perform audit testing and prepare working papers
• Prepare financial statements and audit reports
• Compute and prepare tax returns including CIT, VAT, WHT, and PAYE
• Assist with tax audits, investigations, and reconciliations
• Maintain proper documentation for audit and tax engagements
• Support senior team members in client engagements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with at least 1 year in an accounting or consulting firm
• ICAN/ACCA qualification or progress toward certification is an advantage
• Good understanding of audit procedures and Nigerian tax laws
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
