Job Description

  • As a Backend and Mobile App Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining both backend services and mobile applications, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across platforms.
  • You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, designers, and product managers to understand requirements and implement efficient solutions.
  • You should have a strong understanding of backend technologies, mobile app development frameworks, databases, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs to support web and mobile applications.
  • Develop native mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms, ensuring a seamless user experience and optimal performance.
  • Manage and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity and efficiency for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Identify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and bugs in backend services and mobile applications.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions that meet user needs.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic and mobile applications.
  • Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability across platforms.
  • Implement security and data protection measures for backend services and mobile applications.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in backend development and mobile app development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • years of experience in backend development and mobile app development.
  • Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, etc.
  • Experience with mobile app development frameworks such as Swift (for iOS) and Kotlin/Java (for Android).
  • Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles and guidelines.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks such as React Native or Flutter.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with mobile app testing and debugging tools.
  • Knowledge of mobile app security best practices.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 per month.
