We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Chief Editor
Job Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Resumption: Immediately
Work Mode: Hybrid

Key Result Area / Responsibilities

• Working with the team on producing new content and writing it interestingly and appealingly.
• Creating and managing an editorial content calendar that synchs with the organization's plans and purposes.
• Setting the standards for the writers in terms of quality and quantity of work to be done
• Sourcing images and artwork, and commissioning photographs.
• We are liaising with other departments to create copies for internal and external communication.
• Directing and Implementing an SEO strategy
• Website copy management, and weekly audit
• Curate content for the CN Newsletter.
• Liaising with the programmers and other internal departments.
• Edit articles by external and internal writers and manage correspondence with guest writers.

Key Performance Indicator:

• Positive feedback from the users of the website.
• Implementation of SEO, and SEM strategies that show measurable results
• Number of Guest contributors monthly
• Revenue generated from article links, and Blog posts.
• Increase in the number of users that visit the website and Content category weekly (using google analytics).
• Increase in the number of followers on social media and awareness.
• Quality of publication, in comparison to major competitors
• Timely, Quality, engaging, reliable, up-to-date, and relevant articles.
• Increase in click-through rate
• Increased newsletter subscription
• Average minute spent on Article sub-site per visitor.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a BSc Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
