Job Position: Cloud / Network Engineer


Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-Time | Work Mode: Fully Onsite

Job Description

  • As a Cloud/Network Engineer in Sky Capital’s IT Department, you will:
  • Design, deploy, and manage our hybrid cloud environments.
  • Architect and sustain secure, reliable internal network systems.
  • Ensure optimal system performance, scalability, and availability across enterprise operations.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure challenges to minimize downtime.
  • Implement disaster recovery, backup, and failover strategies.
  • Automate workflows and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain up?to?date documentation of network configuration and architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud infrastructure administration (provision, scale, optimize).
  • Network design, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Proactive monitoring, diagnostics, and incident resolution.
  • Security enforcement, patching, and vulnerability mitigation.
  • Technical collaboration across departments for digital transformation initiatives.
  • Documentation, SOP creation, and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud and network engineering.
  • Certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Network Engineer Associate or equivalent) are highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Expertise in Azure.
  • Core Networking Concepts.
  • Mastery of routing, switching, firewalls, VLAN, VPNs, and load balancers.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Strong foundation in cybersecurity protocols and infrastructure protection.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation capabilities.
