Job Summary


  • We are looking for a Corporate Banking Manager to build and manage the Corporate Banking division, mobilize large-corporate deposits and manage the corporate vault/treasury liabilities, ensure risk is well controlled, and drive revenue and margin growth via services for corporations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute corporate banking strategy aimed at growing corporate deposits, operational account balances, escrow/vault holdings, and term liabilities.
  • Identify, acquire, and manage relationships with large corporate clients (revenue/turnover thresholds), ensuring high service, cross-selling banking products (cash management, trade finance, treasury services, corporate loans).
  • Set up and manage corporate vault services, ensuring robust security, compliance & operational efficiency.
  • Oversee credit/risk underwriting for corporate clients; ensure portfolio remains healthy, with acceptable non-performing loan (NPL) levels.
  • Lead product innovation in deposit/liability products (fixed deposits, notice accounts, corporate sweep accounts, liquidity products).
  • Work with Finance / Treasury to optimize cost of funds, yield on deposits, and liquidity management.
  • Manage compliance, KYC/AML, and regulatory reporting for corporate banking.
  • Build, coach, and manage a high-performing team of Relationship Managers, Treasury/Deposit Officers, and Credit Analysts.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Corporate Deposits Growth
  • Mobilize N40-60B in new corporate deposit liabilities in 12 months
  • Average Deposit Tenor / Stability
  • Target minimum average tenor of say 90-120 days; reduce deposit churn
  • Number of New Corporate Clients e.g. onboard 20+ large corporates with deposit/volume thresholds (> N500M or > N1B).

Skills & Experience

  • 5-8+ years in corporate banking / commercial banking; Financial House, proven track record in deposit mobilization, treasury or cash management.
  • Experience in structuring and managing large corporate vaults/escrow or liquidity products.
  • Strong credit risk & underwriting experience.
  • Excellent relationship management & negotiation skills; deep network among large enterprises.
  • Good understanding of regulatory, compliance, AML/KYC requirements in Nigeria.
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling, and forecasting skills.
  • Leadership experience: managing teams, coaching, driving performance.
