Within a few years the hospital expanded its scope of services and has become a leading private multispecialty hospital. The core vision of the organisation is to provide world class specialist healthcare services to patients in Nigeria and the West African sub region.


Cedarcrest Hospitals Ltd currently has four hospitals located in Abuja, Lagos, Kainji and Jebba having over one hundred (100) bed capacity without patient camps in several other cities across Nigeria. Our services and facilities span several specialities and include emergency / trauma centre, radiology diagnostic centre, prosthetic manufacturing plant, oxygen manufacturing plant, modular surgical operating theatres, gastrointestinal endoscopy suite and several other facilities that make for a modern multispecialty hospital.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Credit Control Officer

Job Location: Lagos

Role Description

  • The Credit Control Officer is responsible for managing the hospital’s credit policies and receivables, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances from patients, HMOs, corporate clients, and other third-party payers.
  • The role ensures financial compliance, proper documentation, accurate reconciliation of patient accounts, and effective communication with internal stakeholders and external partners to reduce bad debt exposure and enhance cash flow and financial performance.

Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
    • Professional certification or part-qualification in ICAN, ACCA, or CITN is an added advantage.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 – 5 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivables, or financial operations within a hospital or service-based environment (healthcare experience strongly preferred).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of billing systems, insurance claims, and healthcare credit cycle management.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
  • Key Competencies:
    • High attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
    • Strong analytical, reporting and documentation skills
    • Customer service orientation with firmness and professionalism
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
