Job Position: Customer Operations Engineer

Job Description


  • As our Customer Operations Engineer, you will help ensure power availability and customer satisfaction.
  • You will coordinate, schedule and ensure O&M activities are performed professionally within your assigned geographical location and according to standards.
  • The role would also involve developing strategies in the onboarding of new customers for expansion within the geo-political zone.

Responsibilities
You’ll focus on:

  • Maintaining a record of all customer/solution details and project milestones.
  • Maintaining logs of all required repairs and maintenance.
  • Educating customers on energy efficiency, conservation, reliability and systems operations.
  • Performing site assessment and load analysis on prospects' facility where required.
  • Project implementation quality assurance and control.
  • System commissioning of all installations.
  • Ensuring snag reporting following system commissioning.
  • Ensuring site acceptance and job completion signoff at project closure.
  • Timely response to escalation and resolution of faults in line with set Service Level Agreement.
  • Ensuring energy reliability and a good customer experience.
  • Scheduling of quarterly preventive maintenance activities within the region.
  • Performing all aspects of corrective and preventive maintenance and general oversight as required.
  • Ensuring that all operation and maintenance activities performed at customer sites comply with OEM guidelines.
  • 24/7 availability for emergency call-outs.
  • Documenting, storing and sharing knowledge from field activities, incidents and notable equipment behaviours.
  • Providing timely written reports and feedback from field operations.
  • Contributing to OPEX reduction by keeping work activities within budget with appropriate financial reports.
  • Ensuring full compliance with the company's HSE policy.
  • Incident management for incidents relating to all solar deployments within the region.
  • Proper representation of the brand at every interaction with customers and the general public within the region.
  • Regular update to Customer Operations Manager.

Requirements & Skills
You’ll be a good fit for this role if you have:

  • Minimum of a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Reside on the Island
  • Good technical knowledge, diagnostic and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to learn and work on changing and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to build an environment and relationship of trust and credibility with customers, in order to best promote Arnergy in the local market.
  • People-management skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Google Drive) i.e. Microsoft Word (Google Doc), Excel (Google sheet) and PowerPoint (Google Slide).
  • A driver’s License.
