Job Summary
- The Deposit Mobilisation Officer is responsible for growing the bank’s deposit base by identifying, sourcing, and managing relationships with individual and institutional clients.
- The role focuses on achieving liability generation targets, promoting savings and investment products, and ensuring client satisfaction while strictly complying with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source new deposit clients through prospecting, cold-calling, referrals, and networking.
- Mobilise deposits from individuals, high-net-worth clients, SMEs, corporates, and associations.
- Market and promote liability products such as savings, current accounts, fixed deposits, investment notes, and special schemes.
- Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual deposit mobilisation targets.
- Design and execute innovative strategies for increasing low-cost deposits.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with deposit clients by providing excellent customer service.
- Ensure timely communication of maturity dates, rates, rollover options, and product features.
- Monitor market trends, competitor deposit products, and interest rate movements.
- Ensure all deposits are sourced in compliance with regulatory (e.g., CBN/BOG/CBK) and internal KYC/AML policies.
Person Specifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years in deposit mobilisation, investment, or wealth management within the financial sector.
Annual Net Remuneration
Competitive & Negotiable.
