BORDERS is an exciting project of Sponsor A Child Nigeria and Selina Media, a division of Selina Travels. The project was conceived to promote the reading culture in Nigeria and Africa and to promote the reading of African books worldwide. In 2015, Borders was a forum for engaging with important issues and events in Africa’s history as recorded or reflected in good books written by Africans and non-Africans.

In 2016, Borders, additionally, became a platform for introducing to the general public, and in particular to a 15 - 35 years age cohort, literary successors to 1st and 2nd generation African authors. In 2017, Borders brought readers insight into the book industry via book trade interviews with distinguished practitioners: publishers, booksellers, librarians and other stakeholders whose support as consumers and producers of the African book, is vital to the industry.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced typist who possesses commercial proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, along with excellent command of the English language.
• The task at hand is to incorporate edits into a 47-page (A4) manuscript with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that the sentence structures in the narrative are maintained. Accurate incorporation of edits is critical to the success of this project.
• The duration of the project is 14 working days, during which the typist will be required to work diligently and efficiently to meet the deadline.
• As a successful candidate, you will be expected to have a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• B.Sc / HND in English
• 2  -5 years of work experience.

An experienced typist with:

• Commercial proficiency in use of Microsoft Word
• An excellent use of English language.

Assignment:

• To incorporate edits into a 47 (A4) page manuscript while paying meticulous attention to the sentence structures in the narrative. Accurate incorporation of edits.
