Job Position: Ethics and Compliance Officer

Key Purpose

  • The key purpose of this role is to support the development and promotion of the Ethics and Compliance (E&C) programs in the Zone.
  • The candidate will provide assurance around compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across Company operations and functions.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • With support of the E&C Manager, ensure that ethics and compliance risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated as part of the risk management processes.
  • Support implementation of the annual E&C compliance program, including addressing training needs in key risk areas.
  • Ensure that all regulatory permits and licenses remain current and appropriate for the company’s needs.
  • Oversight and quarterly report on all E&C dashboards and platforms.
  • Perform quarterly audits on compliance dashboard and roadmap as per standards of the global compliance team.
  • Drive rigorous process for third party due diligence and monitoring particularly, high risk third parties. Maintain record of high-risk partners with status of mitigation actions.
  • Drive quarterly ethics and compliance scorecards and ensure that annual ethics and compliance certification process is completed on a timely basis.
  • Provide guidance on the proper and timely use of E&C tools (i.e., Gifts and Donations, TPV management, DOI declaration, Breach database, etc.).
  • Conduct ad-hoc investigations and make recommendations to detect, prevent and remediate breaches effectively.
  • Management of team budget and timely processing of payments.

Minimum Requirements

  • A Degree in Economics, Law, Human Resources or Finance.
  • Experience in risk management will be an advantage.
  • Experience in policy governance  and compliance as well as strong knowledge of internal controls.
