Job Position: Finance Business Partner
Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time (Onsite)
Role Description
- The Finance Business Partner will assist in financial planning, business planning, and financial reporting, and perform analysis to offer insights and recommendations that drive business decisions.
- The role involves preparing financial metrics, analyzing trends, and collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate financial forecasting and budgeting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a tracker of actual CAPEX in comparison to the approved budget/forecast and report tomanagement on variance
- Review and update budget information on motivations for OPEX received from user departments
- Review and validate invoices created on the system for assigned vendors
- Prepare Vendor reconciliation statements for review by the finance manager
- Prepare payment packs for assigned vendors for approval by the finance manager
- Provide required input to the financial planning team with regards to the preparation of site profitability reports.
- Review and maintain assigned expense ledgers for validity and completeness of entries
- Participate in preparation of budget/forecast for relevant departments
- Perform month end account closing activities as may be assigned by the finance manager
- Ensure compliance with and propose appropriate updates to approved policies, processes and procedures
- Prepare GL schedules and analysis for audit purposes
- Perform other duties which may be assigned from time to time by the finance manager or other competent official.
- Perform other ad hoc roles as may be assigned by the Chief Finance Officer or other authorized personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration / Any other Science related Discipline with a minimum of 4 years’ experience
- Masters degree is an added advantage
- ICAN/ACCA certification is compulsory
- Proficient in financial reporting and finance management
- Strong financial planning and business planning skills
- Proficient in financial reporting and finance management
- Excellent analytical skills for assessing financial data and trends
- Relevant experience in the finance industry
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
