Job Description
- The Financial Accountant is responsible for the accurate recording and analysis of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing critical financial insights to support informed decision-making.
- This role involves preparing financial statements, managing general ledgers, ensuring timely monthly close of CcHUB subsidiaries.
- In addition, the post holder will be required to collaborate with various departments/practices, and project managersto ensure good management of the company’s financial resources.
Key Responsibilities
Bank Reconciliation & Expense Management:
- Prepare accurate monthly bank statements reconciliation and financial records.
- Aggregate requisitions from the company’s expense management system (EMS), and upload on the payment platform.
- Monitor and control expenses to maintain fiscal discipline.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly close of financial reporting.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
General Ledger Management:
- Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Support with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts where necessary.
- Analyze variances between actuals and budget, providing explanations and insights.
Audit and Compliance:
- Provide support to the Group Financial Accountant and external auditors for audit processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Implement improvements to financial processes and controls.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage and oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain current knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with other departments to gather financial information and supporting documentations for budget tracking where necessary.
- Provide financial support and guidance to various teams within the organization.
- Assist in special projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Experience in a similar role within the industry is advantageous.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or related software).
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and present actionable insights.
Attention to Detail:
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and rectify discrepancies in financial records.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance audience clearly.
Organizational Skills:
