Job Position: Full Stack Developer (Java Spring Boot)

Job Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with strong proficiency in Java Spring Boot to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing web applications.
• The ideal candidate will work across the full technology stack, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, SpringMVC, and Spring Security
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services
• Build responsive and intuitive frontend interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js)
• Design, optimize, and manage databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB)
• Implement application security, authentication, authorization, and data protection best practices
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry standards
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT processes
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize system performance and reliability
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and cloud infrastructure
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong hands-on experience withJavaandSpring Boot
• Solid understanding of theSpring ecosystem(Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, Spring Security)
• Experience designing and consumingRESTful APIs
• Proficiency in frontend technologies:HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern framework (React/Angular/Vue)
• Strong knowledge ofSQL, database design, and data modeling
• Experience using version control systems such asGit
• Familiarity withmicroservices architecture
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience withDockerand containerization
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of messaging systems such asKafkaorRabbitMQ
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Familiarity withSwagger/OpenAPIfor API documentation
• Prior experience in fintech, banking, or enterprise-scale systems.
