Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and proactive Cabinetry Furniture Company Manager with a solid background in joinery and carpentry to lead our growing team. 
  • This leadership role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality production standards, managing a skilled team, and maintaining client relationships. 
  • The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills and a passion for fine woodworking, along with the ability to manage both the creative and operational sides of the business.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of joiners, carpenters, and other workshop staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.

Project Oversight & Execution:

  • Oversee the production of custom cabinetry and furniture, ensuring projects meet deadlines, quality standards, and client specifications.
  • Collaborate with designers and clients to ensure that the final products meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Manage project timelines, allocate resources effectively, and troubleshoot any challenges during production.

Quality Control & Process Improvement:

  • Conduct regular inspections of materials, production processes, and finished products to ensure high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Implement and refine quality control procedures to minimize errors, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.

Client & Stakeholder Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs, offering professional advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.

Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed in the workshop, promoting a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Maintain awareness of industry safety standards and implement best practices.

Business & Financial Management:

  • Assist with budgeting and cost management, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for growth, expanding service offerings, and exploring new business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the cabinetry, joinery, or carpentry industry.
  • Strong technical expertise in joinery, carpentry, and woodworking, with hands-on experience in producing custom cabinetry and furniture.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Solid understanding of project management, from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products and services.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, materials, tools, and machinery used in cabinetry and furniture production.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in joinery, carpentry, or furniture making (desirable but not essential).
  • Full driving licence required.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
