Job Position: Governance and Sustainability Manager

Job Schedule: Full-time

Role Accountabilities


  • Provide research, planning and implementation support on the implementation, monitoring and reporting of the organization’s ESG strategy and Energy Transition Plan
  • Collate, analyze, and interpret data related to carbon emissions and other sustainability-related metrics. 
  • Support the annual production of ESG/Sustainability Report(s) through innovative design and communications strategies.
  • Keep abreast of legislation& ESG policies applicable to the organization.
  • Work with Risk function in OpCos to develop ESG Risk management framework for continuous monitoring.
  • Develop and implement communication strategy for sustainability reporting and initiatives
  • Work with diverse teams to identify opportunities for emissions reduction and responsible and promotion of sustainable business practices.
  • Identify areas for improvement in sustainability practices and propose innovative solutions to enhance the organization’s sustainability performance.
  • Manage a portfolio of sustainability projects and track progress
  • Policy research and development.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in the environmental or social sciences, or relevant field
  • At least 7 years of post NYSC work experience in relevant role(s).
  • Strong passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Strong creative communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work together in a global, cross-functional team
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software is desirable
  • Demonstrates ability to meet deadlines, determine priorities and organize work to meet objectives and identify and deal with problems
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with external parties and internal colleagues
  • Knowledgeable in ESG policies
