We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Head, Human Resources

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive Sidmach's HR strategy in alignment with Sidmach’s corporate and business goals at any time.
  • Design and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract, select, and hire top talent in the IT industry, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Develop and implement performance management systems, processes, and tools to ensure employees are held accountable for their performance and contributions to the company's success.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies, minimizing risks and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Manage the HR budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost management.
  • Maintain, update and communicate HR policies, manuals such as employee handbooks in compliance with changing or new legislation & policies while maintaining a culture that helps people flourish.
  • Monitor and resolve all levels of human resource related issues by identifying practical solutions to complex and diverse HR issues and recommend appropriate action plan in a diplomatic manner that is firm favors both parties while maintaining a zero-litigation rate.
  • Lead and support the development and implementation of HR policies across all areas of the organization in alignment with Sidmach’s strategic objective for companywide performance improvement, productivity, effective resource management and alignment.
  • Oversee all human resource function and processes related to but not limited to talent acquisition and management, manpower planning, learning and development, compensation and benefit, performance management, career development & planning, etc.
  • Work with the HR team to develop, co-ordinate, implement and audit all HR activities and records within the across all sub teams / units in the organisation.
  • Ensure learning and development planning targeted at supporting real business needs, ensure the continuous development of skills and competency to maintain a highly competitive talent base ready to meet local and international customer business requirements.
  • Provide career planning and succession plan for all key and critical roles and maintain a performance appraisal system that fosters self-development, drives productivity and build a strong progressive culture.
  • Liaise with and manage the activities of external resources / consultants in order to monitor issues and concerns in employment law and service delivery.
  • Constantly conceptualize, facilitate and demonstrate the value of HR Programs and Initiatives to the business through the use of modern and robust HR Metrics.
  • Provide regular and timely HR reports to the Executives for decision making purposes.
  • Assist in leading the company’s transformation by providing advisory and coaching services to all Staff, people managers, Executives in the business.

Role Requirements

  • A minimum of Graduate-level degree. Amaster's degree or MBA would be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 10 years of cognate experience with at least 4 years in a Management position
  • Membership of at least one of CIPM, CIPD, Agile HR, SHRM, HRCI etc.
  • Human Resource Practitioners license
  • Experience working in the IT industry
  • Demonstrated experience leading HR initiatives and Delivery teams

  • Facilitation skills: Individual, team & client facilitation skills across general and HR specific subject matter.
  • Open and growth mindset: Anticipates having to adapt work methods to changing technology, environment, people and opinions that challenge the ordinary/status quo for better outcomes.
  • Coaching & mentoring: Provide coaching or mentoring services to individuals and teams across the organisation.
