Job Description


  • Our client is looking to hire a Head of Asset Management will lead the organization Asset Managers’ efforts to provide innovative and high-quality asset management solutions to high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), institutional investors, and retail clients. 
  • This role includes overseeing portfolio management, advisory services, collective investment schemes, and securities trading, while also focusing on research, data analysis, and department setup. 
  • The ideal candidate will collaborate with the treasury team to optimise fixed-income opportunities and drive sustainable growth.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the asset management strategy aligned with the firm’s objectives.
  • Set up the asset management department, including defining operational structures, processes, and policies.

Portfolio and Investment Management:

  • Oversee client portfolios to ensure optimal asset allocation and risk management.
  • Identify and recommend investment opportunities across fixed-income, equities, and alternative investments.

Product and Service Development:

  • Design and promote collective investment schemes, portfolio management products, and advisory services.
  • Introduce digitally driven cutting-edge tools and services to enhance asset management offerings.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HNIs, institutional investors, and retail clients.
  • Deliver tailored investment solutions to meet diverse client needs.

Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth research and data analysis to guide investment decisions.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors affecting asset performance.

Collaboration and Team Leadership:

  • Work closely with the Treasurer to maximise fixed-income opportunities and optimise liquidity management.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Prepare regular performance reports and insights for management and clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Investment Management, or a related field. An MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CIS) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience in asset management, investment banking, or portfolio management.
  • Proven track record in managing diverse investment portfolios and achieving measurable results.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in asset management tools and technology platforms.
