Valfasam Care Initiative (Valfasam) is a National Nongovernmental Organization led by women and Youth, founded on 14th February 2022. Valfasam is committed to improving the lives of women, children and young people by enhancing peace, improving livelihood, education, health and protection by identifying, and supporting the less privileged within communities. We also work to provide access to safe drinking water, proper sanitation facilities and improved hygiene practices through consultation, direct project execution, awareness campaigns, advocacy, capacity building and research. Valfasam Care Initiative is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

Summary

  • VCI is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Human Resources Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring effective HR operations and fostering a positive organizational culture.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage employee records and ensure data accuracy.
  • Lead workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and suggest improvements.
  • Ensure workplace safety and employee well-being initiatives are implemented.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and staff performance management.
  • Coordinate employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Support the leadership team in strategic HR planning.
  • Monitor and evaluate HR metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and organizational guidelines.
  • Facilitate training and professional development programs.
  • Provide support in conflict resolution and employee relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of HR experience.
  • Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
  • Resides in the northeastern part of Nigeria.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
