We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Internal Auditor
Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

• The Internal Auditor is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes within the organization.
• The role ensures compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and industry standards while safeguarding company assets and promoting operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-based audits across alloperations, including production, inventory management, sales, marketing, procurement, and distribution.
• Review and evaluate internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor stock control, wastage, shrinkage, and asset utilization to prevent financial and operational losses.
• Audit sales, promotions, pricing, and credit policies to ensure accuracy and prevent revenue leakages.
• Identify fraud risks, process gaps, and inefficiencies, and recommend corrective measures.
• Conduct surprise checks at plants, warehouses, depots, and retail outlets.
• Prepare clear audit reports, highlighting findings, risks, and practical recommendations for management.
• Follow up on implementation of corrective actions and provide support in process improvements.
• Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders when required.

Qualification andRequirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3 – 5 years of internal audit experience, ideally within the FMCG, manufacturing, or distribution sector.
• Professional certification: ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIA, or CISA is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, FMCG operations, and risk management practices.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• High ethical standards, independence, and ability to handle sensitive information.
