Job Position: Internal Control Officer (Field Operations)

Job Locations: Abuja, Lagos, Ondo, Ogun, Oyo and Kogi

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented Internal Control Officer to oversee field operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, internal audit, and internal control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop and maintain internal control policies and documentation.
• Provide training and guidance on internal control procedures.
• Conduct internal investigations and report findings to head of department.
• Identify control weaknesses and deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3 - 5 years in internal audit, internal control, or risk management.
• Experience in microfinance banking or a related sector.
• Proficiency in internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) and control software.
• Strong understanding of CBN regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
