We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Project Legal Advisor

Job Location: Lagos

Responsibilities


  • Draft and review agreements, contracts, MOUs, SLAs, and letters of award for the Group and our subsidiary companies in Nigeria.
  • Maintain an up-to-date contract schedule for the Group and our subsidiary companies in Nigeria.
  • Focus on the commercial business and legal support to ensure that the business has good and solid relationships with all external stakeholders including but not limited to customers, suppliers, distributors, and agents. This will include negotiation and finalization of all agreements, providing advice on the consumer, competition, labour, and all other commercial law.
  • Ensure legal due diligence during land/property acquisition; Title investigation & Local legislation.
  • Conduct legal research and constantly monitor legal and regulatory changes for timely updates and legal analysis.
  • Attend and monitor all pending litigations and proceedings involving the Company.
  • Attend and monitor all pending law enforcement matters involving the Group and its subsidiaries.
  • Ensure compliance with the Contracts Management Policy, Process, and Procedures.
  • Draft and ensure standardization (to the extent possible) of legal documents such as Title transfer deeds, Agreements of sale, Offer letters, Conveyance documents, Lease Deeds, License Agreements, etc.
  • Provide in-depth legal opinions on various issues affecting the Group and its subsidiaries.
  • Draft and review legal correspondence.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the Legal & Company Secretary department.

Qualifications

  • LLB and B.L Degree.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Good grasp of relevant laws and hands-on interpretation and application of company secretarial issues.
  • Experience interfacing with the law enforcement agency
  • Knowledge of corporate and commercial law is a must-have
  • Real estate experience is strongly desired
  • Excellent communication, research, presentation, and analysis skills.
  • Proven ability to determine priorities, cope with high volumes of work, plan and organize workloads, set targets, meet deadlines, and achieve high-standard results.

2.) Site Manager

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Preparesite reports periodically on activities on sites and project status
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including records of site activities, progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address project requirements, provide regular updates, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, including task sequencing, resource allocation, and critical milestones, and monitor progress against established timelines.
  • Oversee and coordinate all on-site activities, including material procurement, subcontractor management, and workforce allocation, to ensure effective execution.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance, identifying and addressing any deviations or potential risks.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Manage and resolve any issues or conflicts during construction, implementing appropriate solutions and escalating when necessary.
  • Execute other assignments as directed by the Head of Construction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire a diverse project team.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards in India.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to effectively address challenges and make sound judgments.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.

3.) Quantity Surveyor

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are currently looking for a competent and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. managing all construction project costs ensuring it is completed within the stipulated budget.
  • The ideal candidate's role will be pivotal in ensuring the financial success of our construction projects.
  • S/he’ll be working with leading conservators, architects, and engineers to ensure that the client and contractor deliver the best value for money – advising all parties on the best solutions from a qualitative and commercial perspective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare bills of quantities by studying specification sheets provided by the sales team.
  • Identify gaps between BOQ and drawings, specifications, and condition of the contract and take it for a logical closure.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices and terms for construction materials
  • Prepare interim and final valuations, variations, and claims of the construction site.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and value engineering exercises.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize project outcomes and achieve value for money.
  • Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan
  • Monitor and control costs throughout the project, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Actively engage in the pre-tendering activities with client, architect, and project managers and raise relevant pre-bid queries from the given tender.
  • Preparing the initial quote and contract for the sales team from the company's side.
  • Work with the value engineering and architectural unit in analyzing architectural and service drawings.
  • Dealing effectively with post-contract cost variances and the change control processes
  • Taking personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation take place
  • Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost consulting, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Sound knowledge of construction industry practices, regulations, and standards.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation and cost management techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with extraordinary negotiation abilities.
  • Knowledge of service guidelines, such as the National Building Code (NBC) and LEED for green buildings.
  • Knowledge of contract administration and legal aspects of construction projects.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD and validating quantities from the given drawings.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for quantity surveying.
