We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Roles / Objectives


  • A construction company is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to oversee all quality assurance and control activities across projects and the organization.
  • The role involves managing the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement to meet project specifications.

Position Overview / Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance procedures, systems, and controls are current and effectively implemented.
  • Maintain and regularly update the compliance manual and all procedure documentation.
  • Develop and review Standards of Conduct to guide management and staff appropriately.
  • Develop and implement project-specific quality assurance programs based on ISO 9001:2015.
  • Prepare and monitor project QA/QC budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Oversee and ensure effective implementation of quality control programs on projects.
  • Monitor project material usage along against design and specification requirements.
  • Manage project quality compliance with codes, standards, regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Identify and facilitate certification and training requirements for QA/QC personnel.
  • Manage comprehensive QA/QC documentation, including certificates, calibration records, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports, site instructions, and materials records.
  • Develop and maintain written quality assurance and control procedures.
  • Conduct on-site and laboratory testing to confirm material and work conformity.
  • Establish and maintain standard documentation and processes for construction quality management.
  • Analyze quality data to proactively address issues and recommend solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or any relevant field.
  • 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in quality management and compliance monitoring.
  • Registered with a recognized professional engineering or QA/QC association.
  • Strong knowledge of (ISO 9001:2015) quality management standards
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and familiar with AutoCAD and Primavera software.
  • Experience in project planning, execution (construction realities), and cross-functional communication.
  • Skilled in managing non-conformance, deficiency reporting programs, and root cause analysis.
  • Self-motivated, professional, and proactive approach to quality management.

2.) Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Job Role/ Objectives

  • We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Professional to lead and manage all HSE functions across our organization.
  • The ideal candidate will drive the development and implementation of strategic safety systems, ensure full regulatory compliance, and maintain the company’s HSE Management System.

Position Overview/Responsibilities

  • Develop and conduct regular HSE training programs and orientation sessions on safety laws, hazard control, and the proper use of safety equipment.
  • Investigate and document construction incidents, including accidents, near-misses, and occupational injuries; identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Conduct safety audits and site inspections of equipment, tools, and worksites to ensure compliance with internal and external safety standards. Correct potential hazards.
  • Monitor worksites and company facilities to ensure compliance with company HSE policies and government regulations.
  • Recommend corrective actions and oversee the implementation of quick-response systems for on-site/off-site incidents.
  • Develop and implement project-specific HSE procedures and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 standards across all project sites.
  • Maintain proper safety documentation and regularly update the HSE Management System.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or any relevant HSE discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in HSE roles, preferably within the construction industry.
  • HSE certifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent (mandatory)
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with management and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office and engineering software.
  • Passionate about workplace health and safety, and committed to developing a culture of safety within the company.

3.) Laboratory Technician (Civil)

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Role/ Objectives

  • A Construction Company is seeking a young, dynamic Laboratory Technician to support project planning, design, and execution by conducting sampling, testing, verification, and validation of construction materials.
  • The successful candidate will ensure all materials comply with project quality standards and specifications.

Position Overview / Responsibilities

  • Collect construction material samples in accordance with the approved quality plan
  • Assist in the analysis of raw materials, intermediate and finished samples to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Perform construction sample testing, including sieve analysis and moisture content determination.
  • Identify and promptly report deviations from quality standards to the QA/QC Officer and Project Engineer.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to laboratory operations and maintenance of equipment and instruments.
  • Prepare and submit periodic laboratory analysis and activity reports.
  • Maintain effective housekeeping and safety practices within the laboratory.
  • Assist in maintenance ISO quality management systems within the laboratory unit.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in civil/building industry.
  • Practical experience with soil tests, concrete tests and bitumen testing is highly desirable
  • Proficient in operating modern laboratory equipment and applying industry sampling standards
  • Ability to follow procedures accurately, efficiently and safely.
  • Competent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
