We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) Head, Sales - Nigeria
Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
The Role
- Flutterwave is looking for an exceptional Head, Sales – Nigeria to lead enterprise commercial growth in our largest and most strategic market.
- This senior leadership role will drive revenue acceleration across enterprise payouts and collections, forge high-value partnerships, and establish Flutterwave as the dominant fintech infrastructure provider in Nigeria.
- Working out of our HQ in Lagos, Nigeria, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of digital payments across Africa’s largest economy while working directly with the executive team to deliver on ambitious growth targets.
- This role will have a dual reporting structure, reporting to the CEO and the Head, Enterprise Commercial Growth.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Enterprise Revenue Growth & Market Strategy:
- Own and deliver aggressive revenue targets for Nigeria’s enterprise segment, including banks, fintechs, e-commerce, multinationals, and other large corporates
- Design and execute enterprise go-to-market strategies to capture share, strengthen Flutterwave’s positioning, and deepen customer penetration
- Partner with executive leadership to define Nigeria’s enterprise growth strategy, including sector focus and resource allocation
- Establish and monitor KPIs, using data-driven performance management to maximize sales efficiency and profitability.
Enterprise Sales & Strategic Partnerships:
- Lead the acquisition of tier-1 enterprise clients with complex payout and collections requirements
- Identify, negotiate, and close large-scale partnerships with financial institutions, ecosystem leaders, and government-linked enterprises
- Oversee customer onboarding, solution deployment, and relationship management to drive retention, expansion, and enterprise stickiness
- Provide market intelligence on enterprise customer needs, competitor strategies, and regulatory developments.
Leadership & Sales Operations:
- Lead a high-performing enterprise sales organization, including account executives, business development managers, and customer success leads
- Implement world-class enterprise sales operations, including CRM discipline, pipeline management, deal governance, and forecasting rigor
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, marketing, operations, and compliance to ensure seamless enterprise delivery and customer satisfaction
- Foster a performance-driven, customer-centric enterprise culture aligned with Flutterwave’s values.
- Ensures personal information of customers, employees, and other individuals the company conducts business with is processed and protected in line with applicable data privacy policies, privacy laws, and global best practices.”
Market Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Represent Flutterwave as the enterprise commercial leader in Nigeria, engaging senior executives, regulators, and key industry stakeholders
- Collaborate with compliance/legal to navigate CBN regulations and evolving fintech frameworks impacting enterprise solutions
- Deliver insights and recommendations to global leadership on enterprise trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
Required competency and skillset to be a waver
- Minimum 15+ years of progressive commercial leadership
- Deep expertise in payments and financial services, with a proven record of leading enterprise growth in fintech, banking, or payments infrastructure
- Demonstrated success in closing enterprise deals exceeding $1M annually and managing revenue lines of $50M+
- Track record of building, scaling, and leading large enterprise sales teams (30+ professionals)
- In-depth knowledge of Nigeria’s enterprise payments infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, and financial ecosystem
- Strong grasp of collections, payouts, and API-driven solutions for large organizations
- Experience influencing enterprise stakeholders and engaging regulators
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate enterprise opportunities into executable growth plans
- Strong executive presence; adept at engaging C-suite leaders, boards, and senior government officials
- Skilled in change management and leading enterprise teams through rapid scale
- Results-driven with a record of exceeding ambitious revenue targets
2.) Country Sales Lead, Nigeria
Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

3.) Treasurer, Africa

Job Description
- The Treasurer, Africa will develop and execute Flutterwave's treasury strategy, manage financial risk, and optimize capital and liquidity.
- This role requires a strong understanding of financial markets, significant leadership experience, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- The Treasurer will play a crucial role in ensuring Flutterwave's financial stability and efficiency in the global financial landscape.
Responsibilities
Strategy Development & Execution:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement a comprehensive treasury strategy aligned with Flutterwave's overall business objectives.
- Lead the development and scaling of a treasury function, managing cash, investments, and liquidity across all major positions.
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to maximize profitability and manage risk, in collaboration with senior management.
- Work closely with the expansion team for banking partnerships and financial infrastructure.
- Monitor and analyze global economic and financial market developments and their potential impact on treasury operations.
Financial Risk Management:
- Establish and maintain robust financial risk management frameworks and policies (including FX, interest rate, and liquidity risks).
- Oversee the monitoring and management of financial exposure, including hedging strategies, to mitigate potential losses.
- Develop and implement hedging strategies.
- Support the implementation of a comprehensive risk management policy to cover financial and liquidity risks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Treasury Operations:
- Oversee the execution of treasury transactions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other counterparties.
- Optimize treasury processes and systems to enhance performance.
- Analyze treasury performance and generate reports to improve profitability.
- Structure treasury deals for large merchants, including servicing our concierge merchants.
- Contribute to establishing pricing rules for remittance products and new products.
- Support new bank onboarding and financial activities.
- Ensure standard daily and periodic reporting and maintain process documentation for all relevant reports, including funding and liquidity metrics.
Capital & Liquidity Optimization:
- Develop and maintain pricing models to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Analyze and report on treasury performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Support the CFO in capital planning, fundraising, and investment decisions.
- Evaluate and recommend investment opportunities for excess cash in low-risk instruments.
- Contribute to capital structure optimization and funding strategy (e.g. CP issuances, term loans, equity injections)
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, product, and technology teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, regulators, and industry associations.
- Present to senior management on treasury performance and strategy.
- Establish strong working partnerships externally with key banking partners and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure continuous and effective engagement of relevant stakeholders in achieving operational efficiency and financial growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., ACT, ACA, CFA, FRM, CTP) preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in treasury or financial management, with a developed network of financial partners.
- Experience & understanding of international payments, banking systems, Crypto and Defi workflow platforms.
- Good understanding of emerging markets and G10 financial operations and local regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and relevant treasury tools.
- Experience or familiarity with all or some of Emerging Markets, FX, and remittances.
- Excellent financial analytical, strategic planning and execution skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet set deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Work goal-oriented and able to work under minimal supervision.
- High sense of responsibility, accountability, integrity, and ethical standards.
- Authorization to work in the country without sponsorship.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience with relevant treasury platforms and financial software.
- Experience in the African fintech space is a definite plus.
