1.) Operations Supervisor

Job Location: Calabar, Cross River
Job type: Full-time

Accountabilities


  • Liaise with customers, contractors, service providers and distributors regarding terminal operations.
  • Oversee day-to-day terminal operations, activity, work planning, asset management and maintenance
  • Undertake the safe and efficient receipt, storage and loadout of product 
  • Ensure all terminal operations comply with HSSE, quality and engineering standards and legislative requirements
  • Plan and coordinate operational tasks and activity onsite, including minor day-to- day housekeeping and maintenance onsite
  • Supervise product receipt into tanks from vessels. 
  • Supervise truck loading. 
  • Raise truck loading manifest and loading meter tickets.
  • Liaise with the Depot Manager for the release of meter tickets for product evacuation.
  • Ensure quality and quantity actualization.
  • Ensure bulk stock is accounted for. 
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly stock reports. 
  • Supervise all loading activities and personnel (Operations Officer and Operations Junior Officers) 
  • Ensure record keeping in compliance with ISO Standards Loading of trucks, vessels and barges.
  • Ensure strict adherence to standard fuel quality practice, efficient depot management and maintenance of HSE policy. 
  • Other assigned responsibilities

Requirements

  • A University Degree (Preferably in either a Science or Engineering course) 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of cognate working experience (Post NYSC) in Depot operations in Bulk Storage Company. 
  • Experienced in depot operations with a flair for logistics and distribution Successful experience in receipt, storage and handling of bulk fuel products
  • Familiarity with information technology and common accounting, engineering and maintenance software
  • Understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations
  • Computer literacy.
  • Good Leadership, negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, 
  • Must be creative and possess an analytical mindset 
  • Must be able to deliver under extreme pressure/stress. 
  • Planning and organizing skills

2.) Compensation & Benefits Manager

Accountabilities

  • Ensure compensation and benefits standards comply with company policies and/or other regulations or legislation.
  • Analyse, review, recommend, and obtain approval for changes to compensation and benefits at all levels.
  • Assist in development of policies and procedures (In Nigeria and other locations) to support the compensation and benefits function.
  • Coordinate communication of compensation and benefits information to employees and other HR groups.
  • Help prepare Government filings, plan audits, or other tax-reporting requirements.
  • Comparing benefits and compensation plans, job classifications, and salaries through data and cost analyses.
  • Designing reports and recommendations based on research and analysis for senior executive team.
  • Set the organization’s pay and benefits structure; assist in design of Group Compensation Philosophy.
  • Ensuring compensation and benefits plans are cost-effective and competitive.
  • Monitor reviews of compensation and benefits packages to maintain market positioning.
  • Participate in due diligence during consolidations, mergers and acquisitions.
  • Drive participation in market and salary surveys.
  • Ensure employee queries on compensation and benefit matters are resolved satisfactorily.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work activities of specialists and support staff.
  • Choose and manage outside partners, such as benefits vendors, insurance brokers, and investment managers.
  • Oversee the distribution of pay and benefits information to the organization’s employees.
  • Ensure that pay and benefits plans comply with federal and state regulations.

Requirements

  • BA degree in Business Administration or a related field. 
  • 8-10 years of cognate experience in a Compensation & Benefits specialist role. 
  • Excellent knowledge/proficiency of MS Office (Excel) and HRIS database management. 
  • HR Professional Qualification is a must.
  • ICAN or ACCA Professional Qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent grasp and understanding of HR indices and their impact on the Business.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent understanding of trends, challenges, regulations and legislations relating to our core businesses and locations.
  • Good understanding of employee/industrial relations, as well as an appreciation of dynamics of the Labor and employment legislations in countries where the Group has presence.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent financial management and budgeting skills
  • Deep experience in structuring compensation and benefits packages, and measuring their success/impact.

3.) Performance Manager

  • Manage Performance Cycle of the organization

  • Create awareness and build understanding of the principles of “Continuous Performance Management”

  • Review Talent & Career Management initiatives 
  • Regular monitoring of the career management process in the Group 
  • Research and implement best practice in Talent & Career management across the Group 
  • Review Meetings across Operating businesses 
  • Ensure quality development plans are in place for all High Potential Employees and successors to Critical Roles 
  • Collaborate with HR Project team to co-own all accelerated development program Review Talent & Career management policies and guidelines 
  • Develop & manage a healthy talent pool across the Group 
  • Advise MDs of all the operating companies on Talent & Career matters 
  • Manage mentoring process of key talents 
  • Coordinate annual talent review sessions and translate into development plans 
  • Hold career discussions for key talents across the Group 
  • Implement succession planning peculiar to each operating company in the Group 
  • Present periodic reports on Talent & Career management to the Board of Directors.

Requirements

  • 7 years of Cognate experience, 4 of which should in Talent Management or Performance Management 
  • Relevant professional HR Certification would be an added advantage
  • Excellent communication and counselling skills with demonstrated ability to share knowledge
  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills 
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills 
  • Knowledge of people management and vendor management.

4.) Business Commercial Manager

Accountabilities

  • Contract Management: Responsible for reviewing existing contracts to identify upcoming renewals or amendments and negotiating contract terms with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders. 
  • Ensure all contracts are up-to-date and compliant with relevant regulations, addressing any disputes or issues that arise and working towards resolutions.
  • Revenue Management: Analyze tariff structures to identify optimization opportunities and monitor revenue streams to pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct daily market research to stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities, analyze market data to identify potential growth opportunities or threats, and provide regular reports and insights to senior management based on market analysis.
  • OPCo Relationship Management: Engage with OPCOs regularly to understand their needs and concerns, implementing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identifying Opportunities: Continuously scan the market to identify new business opportunities, potential partnerships, and emerging markets internally.
  • Financial Management: Review daily financial reports to track revenue, costs, and profitability, analyze variances to identify areas for cost savings or revenue enhancement, and provide input for budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to commercial performance and implement mitigation strategies, conduct regular risk assessments, update risk registers, and communicate risk status to senior management with recommendations for appropriate actions.
  • Reporting: Prepare daily reports on commercial performance metrics such as revenue, expenses, and customer satisfaction, present reports to senior management and stakeholders during regular meetings and provide ad-hoc reports as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, economics, finance, engineering or a related field.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in commercial management, financial planning, or business development within the power or energy sector. 
  • A master's degree or MBA can be an added advantage.
  • Relevant certifications such as Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) may be beneficial.
