1.) National Sales Manager

Job Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Sales Manager to lead our national sales team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing effective sales strategies, motivating the sales team, and achieving sales targets and objectives.
  • The role requires a dynamic individual with a clear understanding of the Nigeria Poultry Market, strong market contacts, and expertise in sales ERP, particularly Salesforce.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Lead and motivate the nationwide sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

Account Management:

  • Negotiate and close deals with large or strategic accounts.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Monitor and analyze sales metrics and trends, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Sales Analysis and Reporting:
  • Prepare and present comprehensive sales forecasts and reports to senior management.

Market Research and Business Development:

  • Conduct market research to identify new potential customers and opportunities.
  • Stay updated with new product launches and industry developments.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to ensure brand consistency and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.

Team Development and Coaching:

  • Provide coaching and training to the sales team to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts within the sales team

Critical Requirements
Industry Knowledge:

  • Clear understanding of the Nigeria Poultry Market with relevant market contacts.
  • Working knowledge of Poultry and Animal farming.

Sales Technology:

  • Familiarity with Sales ERP, specifically Salesforce.

Leadership Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a nationwide sales team.
  • Ability to coach and grow a talent pipeline.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager, preferably in the poultry or agriculture sector, with a background in the animal nutrition business.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Alternatively, candidates with extensive Business-to-Business (B2B) Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) experience will be considered.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to the animal nutrition business, demonstrating a quick learning curve and a proactive approach to acquiring industry knowledge.

2.) Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Officer

Purpose

  • Support the Site Manager to establish an EHS management system and strong safety culture.

Goals

  • Support plant leadership in preventing all work related injuries and illnesses as well as environmental harm
  • Consultant for plant managers, superintendents and all leaders.
  • Support plant leadership in establishing a safe & environmental friendly work environment.
  • Definition of site regulation and communication to all site member.
  • Ensure compliance via auditing that Site, Company and local regulations.
  • Offer solutions and support action implementation regarding the work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the fulfillment of the tasks assigned to him/her
  • Responsible for his/her professional advice
  • Authority to have equipment shut down if safety, health, or the environment are endangered
  • Assist the Operations/Location Managers during an emergency situation in coordination/direct communication with plant management, staff positions, or their representatives
  • Facilitate/lead HAZOP / LOPA / hazard / risk assessment team meetings.

Main Tasks

  • Manage location safety and health activities (training, inspections, and audits, as well as internal and external reporting)
  • Conducts internal inspections and audits and assists in coordinating external inspections and audits
  • Provides technical support (if and when required)
  • Assists in auditing new or revised equipment
  • Assists line management in recognizing hazards and risks
  • Analyzes, reviews, and reports location trends (audits, injuries, incidents, etc.) and monitors safety performance
  • Advises management of safety and health issues, provides location managers with guidance and assistance
  • Participates on location safety and health committee as a technical consultant / advisor.
  • Develops material and assist in training.
  • Assists in the orientation and training of new colleagues
  • Assists with incident investigation.
  • Stays up-to-date with regulatory developments, best practices, etc.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with key contacts
  • Support, promote and review the completion of safety information requirements to be entered in company safety database. (Incidents and near misses investigation, audits, inspections, corrective actions tracking process and etc.)

3.) Sales Account Manager

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Purpose

  • The sales manager actively maintains and expands our food customer base in the region, drives customer projects and builds a solid project pipeline for sustainable business results.

Main Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility food sales customers in the West & Central African region, including the support of Key Accounts, distributor, regular Food Customers
  • Developing and implementing innovative sales and marketing strategies within the West African market
  • Establish and develop long-term customer relationships
  • Monitoring the market and identify market potential
  • Creating and fulfilling own sales plans and budget on the basis of market plans
  • Controlling all sales activities with existing and potential customers
  • Develop customer concepts in cooperation with product management, application and product development.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Degree in any of the sciences, food science and technology or business administration would be preferred
  • Experience in the B2B food ingredients business, plant based proteins and texturant would be highly appreciated.
  • Knowledge and commercial contacts to the Savory (Meat extension, Meat analogue, Snacks), Dairy and Sweet goods markets
  • Enthusiasm, initiative and ability to work under pressure
  • Team spirit, result oriented and strong communication skills
  • Flexible and willingness to travel regularly within the region (50%)
  • Excellent English & French language skills
  • Independent and structured work
  • Strong customer, service orientation and technology skills
