We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Chef

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)
Reports to: Business Manager
Direct Reports: None

Main Function

• The Chef is responsible for preparing high-quality meals and catering services for guests staying in the Airbnb properties.
• This includes curating menus, sourcing ingredients, and ensuring food safety standards are met.

Role Responsibilities
Meal Preparation:

• Plan and prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and other meal options as required by guests.
• Create customized menus to cater to diverse guest preferences, including dietary restrictions.
• Ensure all meals are prepared and presented to high standards of quality and taste.

Inventory and Sourcing:

• Manage the kitchen inventory and ensure the timely procurement of fresh ingredients. Establish relationships with local vendors to source high-quality supplies at competitive prices.

Hygiene and Safety:

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
• Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper storage of ingredients.
• Implement and maintain kitchen cleaning schedules to ensure hygiene standards.

Guest Interaction:

• Engage with guests to understand their culinary preferences and provide memorable dining experiences.
• Respond to guest feedback and adapt menus or preparation styles accordingly.

Budget Management:

• Monitor kitchen expenses and ensure meals are prepared cost-effectively without compromising quality.

Competencies / Skills

• Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience as a chef, preferably in hospitality or short-term rental settings.
• Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.
• Behavioural Qualities/Other Competences

2.) Hygiene Officer (Cleaner)

Main Function

• The Hygiene Officer (Cleaner) is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall upkeep of the Airbnb properties to ensure a pleasant and comfortable guest experience.

Role Responsibilities
Cleaning and Maintenance:

• Clean and sanitize all areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces, before and after guest stays.
• Change linens, make beds, and replenish guest supplies such as toiletries, towels, and consumables.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks periodically, such as rug cleaning and window washing.

Inspection and Reporting:

• Inspect properties to ensure they meet cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Report any damages, maintenance needs, or missing items to the Business Manager.

Inventory Management:

• Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and guest amenities, ensuring timely replenishment.
• Safeguard equipment and report any operational issues.

Health and Safety:

• Adhere to health and safety regulations to prevent hazards.
• Ensure cleaning practices align with hygiene protocols and environmental standards.

Competencies / Skills

• Minimum of 1 - 2 years in a cleaning or housekeeping role, preferably in hospitality.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and techniques.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
• Basic understanding of health and safety protocols.

3.) Business Manager

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)
Reports to: CEO
Direct Reports: Hygiene Officer (Cleaner); Chef; Front Desk or Guest Relations Officer; Security Personnel

Main Function

• The Business Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Airbnb apartment business, ensuring its profitability, guest satisfaction, and smooth execution of all operational activities.
• This role requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills to manage staff, optimize resources, and grow the business.

Role Responsibilities
Strategic Management:

• Develop and implement business strategies to maximize revenue and occupancy.
• Monitor market trends and competitor performance to identify opportunities for growth.
• Work with the CEO to set short- and long-term goals for the business.

Operations Management:

• Oversee daily operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest communication.
• Ensure all properties meet the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.
• Coordinate property repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance with contractors contractors.

Financial Oversight:

• Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and prepare financial reports.
• Track and analyze revenue streams, including bookings, cancellations, and additional services.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping for tax and regulatory compliance.

Staff Management:

• Oversee the daily activities of all team members, including the Hygiene Officer, Chef, Security and Maintenance Personnel.
• Provide clear direction and allocate tasks to ensure efficient operations and conduct regular check-ins with staff to address challenges and maintain high performance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts.

Guest Experience:

• Ensure exceptional guest service by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving complaints.
• Monitor guest feedback on platforms like Airbnb and implement improvements.
• Create memorable experiences by curating personalized services and offerings.

Marketing and Branding:

• Manage online listings and ensure accurate property descriptions and appealing visuals.
• Collaborate with marketing professionals to increase brand visibility and bookings.
• Develop promotional campaigns to attract guests during peak and off-peak seasons.

Competencies / Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in business management, hospitality, or related roles.
• Experience managing short-term rental properties is an advantage.
• Behavioural Qualities/Other Competences
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Financial acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
